Bowen
Making the hour count
The trip from Bowen is about 75 km, around an hour each way via the Bruce Highway. That is too far to pop in, so we plan Bowen jobs to need as few trips as possible: call with the vehicle and the problem, we quote and order parts, and you arrive to a booked time. Remember we close at 14:30 on Fridays. Get directions.
Farm, transport and trailers
Bowen's horticulture industry, best known for its mangoes and tomatoes, keeps a lot of trucks, utes and trailers on the road, along with the port and construction work around the town. Those vehicles need inspections as well as servicing. We inspect light vehicles, heavy vehicles, light trailers and heavy trailers at our own site, and a COI is the more detailed inspection required for certain heavy and commercial vehicles. See roadworthy and COI inspections.
Electrics and fleets
Long runs between Bowen and the farms are hard on batteries, alternators, lighting and accessory wiring. Our auto electricians handle charging faults, lighting, dual batteries and towing electrics. Businesses with several vehicles can use EFA Fleet Management, which tracks real kilometres so vehicles come in when they are due rather than by guesswork.
